Glen "Whit" Whitaker

Mr. Glen Walter “Whit” Whitaker, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. He was born in Aurora, CO on October 27, 1961, the son of the late Bruce Meredith Whitaker and Carol Marie Hansen Whitaker. Whit started his law enforcement career while serving in the U.S. Airforce and retired from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department with 25 years of service. He had many interests, including woodworking, airplanes, guns, shooting, college football “Roll Tide”, College World Series and was a Dale Sr. fan. Whit loved his three dogs; Sadie, Loki and Wally. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kristy Whitaker and a brother, Patrick Whitaker. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 35 years, Margie P. Whitaker, and a daughter, Megan E. Whitaker. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the gofundme on his Facebook page..
