Mrs. Glennie Jane Holleman Lord, 92, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on May 20, 1921 in Forsyth County to the late Edith Adams Holleman and Walter Edwin Holleman, Sr. Mrs. Lord graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School. She was a faithful member of United Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for over 50 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lord was preceded in death by her husband, John Lord, Sr.; one son, John Lord, Jr.; and one daughter, Anita Hauser. She is survived by a son, Tom Lord and wife, Gwen of Pfafftown; a daughter, Bonnie Culler and husband, Steve of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren: Wendy Gandy and husband, Artie of Walkertown, Sara Culler Chatham and husband, Zach of Rural Hall, Bond Kiser and husband, Kevin of Pfafftown, Amy Martin and husband, Dan of Huntersville, Tommi Boger and husband, Brian of Mocksville, and Zach Wagner of Greensboro; nine great-grandchildren: Jarod Gandy, Ella & Hannah Kiser, Alex, Nathan, & Rachel Martin, and Olivia, Garrett & Ian Boger. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at United Baptist Church with Pastor Will Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Baptist Church, 5815 Murray Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 or to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
