Glenn H. Hollingsworth

Glenn H. Hollingsworth of Arbor Acres died August 25, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born on November 10, 1926, grew up in north Florida, and attended Jacksonville Junior College and Florida State University. Glenn was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Trinidad in World War II. He retired as a Project Controller for Lockheed Aircraft. In memory of family members, he endowed four scholarships at Kennesaw State University. He was predeceased by his first wife Jacqueline Fowler Hollingsworth, and his children Glenn and Cynthia. Glenn is survived by his wife Martha Kirby Hollingsworth and his sister Christine Hollingsworth, both of Arbor Acres. Also surviving are his step-daughters Carol Kirby (Jack Lauer) of Winston-Salem, Susan Thomas (Marc) of Toledo, Ohio, and his step-grandchildren Meg Johnson (Danny), Mike Schroeder (Carlye), Kevin Schroeder and Julie Thomas. A private memorial service in celebration of Glenn\'s life will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Arbor Acres Financial Assistance Fund, 1240 Arbor Road, Winston-Salem, NC, 27104.
