Glenn Wayne Craver

Mr. Glenn Wayne Craver, 76, of Winston-Salem, born September 13, 1940, departed this life on February 25, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Glenn was the son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Craver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Virginia Havener Craver, brother Charles Craver, and sisters Rachel Flynt and Margaret Brown. Glenn is survived by his wife, Thelma James Craver of the home; son, Richard Craver and wife JuliAnn of Clemmons; daughter, Sandra Dorr and husband Benjamin of Lewisville; special daughter, Karen Cummings and husband Willie of Lexington; 4 granddaughters; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edith Harris, Lewis Craver, Robert Craver, and Steve Craver; and sisters in law, Lillian Snapp, Lois Elaine Havener, Emily Juanita Havener, and Mary Ellen Havener.

Glenn was employed for 30 years by Reynolds American as a quality control technician for Archer and Reynolds division packaging operations. He was a member of Friedberg Moravian Church and later Hopewell Moravian Church. Over the years he served as an Elder, Trustee, Sunday School teacher, Boy Scout leader and was a past president of Forsyth County Beekeepers Association.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 2 pm at Hopewell Moravian Church. Interment will follow the service at Friedberg Moravian Church Graveyard. The family will receive friends Monday, February 27, 2017 from 6 - 8 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
