Mr. Glenn Emory Bowen, 55, of Tobaccoville, passed away Thursday morning, March 25, 2010 at his home. He was born July 19, 1954 in Forsyth County to the late Ralph Emory and Betty Tucker Bowen. Mr. Bowen was a honest, hardworking, devoted husband and a loving father. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Bracey. Surviving are his wife, Becky Bowen of the home; four sons, David Bowen, wife Paula and children, Tyler, Trevor and Tucker all of Massillon, OH, Chuck Bowen, wife Christa and children, Dylan, Lillian and Phillip, Kenny Westmoreland and wife Tracy, Jody Westmoreland, wife Beth and children, Mason and Logan; one daughter, Pam and her son, Jesse Bowen all of the Winston-Salem area. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Jenell Doss and brother-in-law, Gerald Bracey. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Darrell Fulp officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 26 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
