Glenda Myers

Mrs. Glenda Doty Myers, 83, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021. She was born in Forsyth County on November 12, 1937 to the late James B. Doty, Sr. and Rassie Mae Jester Doty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, James A. Myers; brothers, James B. Doty, Jr. and Lt. Col. Billy Gray Doty; and sisters, Nancy Sue Vestal and Sarah Lou Copple. Surviving are her son, James “Jimmy” Michael Myers and wife, Guang Myers; granddaughters, Ashley Nicole and Morgan Marie Myers; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Glenda graduated from Clemmons High School and Droughns Business College. She was employed by Hanes Hosiery for 13 years and was a manager for Thalhimers Department Store for 25 years. She was a member of Griffith Baptist Church and the Women of the Moose 1169, where she served as an officer and on the chapter’s many committees. Glenda’s wishes were no formal services to be held, but love one another, and give a special hand to someone in need. You will be blessed.
