Glenda Marie Creed

Miss Glenda Marie Creed, 70, of Winston-Salem, NC, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Hoke County, NC, on June 12, 1945, the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Alene Mays Creed. Miss Creed lived most of her life in Georgia and North Carolina. For many years, Glenda served as a companion to the elderly, faithfully administering to their needs and tenderly caring for them. She loved music, especially the music performed by Elvis Presley and the music of many country music artists. She particularly enjoyed trips to the beach and would have loved living there. Miss Creed, for many years, was a member of Hanes Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC, where she was a member of the choir and enjoyed attending Bible studies and the women's groups. After moving to Newnan, GA, she loved attending Son Rise Baptist Church. When she returned to NC, she became a member of Salem Baptist Church where she loved the members of her Sunday School class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Faye Orrell. Surviving sisters and brothers are Bruce Wayne Creed of Swartz Creek, MI, Will Creed of Mooresville, NC, Ann Church of Clemmons, NC, and Sherry Kinnaman of Winston-Salem, NC. A Memorial Service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Care and Share Food Pantry, PO Box 612, Clemmons, NC 27012. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek is assisting the family.
