Glenda Bowen

Mrs. Glenda Faye Hughes Bowen, 84, of Clemmons, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021. She was born in Charleston, WV on February 14, 1937, to the late Ray and Marietta Buckner Hughes. Glenda had a very vibrant personality. She was a wonderful and loving mother that will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-two years, John Bowen; daughter, Amy Beth Bowen; sister, Gloria Cannetti; and brother, Larry Hughes. Surviving are her two daughters, Vanessa Danner of Winston-Salem and Erica Burdette of Charleston, WV; sister, Brenda Lewis of Charleston, WV; brother-in-law, Frank Cannetti of Pittsburgh, PA; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Trinty Elms, especially Nurse Lindsay, for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
