Mr. Glen Wilson Harbin, 87, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Glen was born July 29, 1929, in Forsyth County to Dillard and Beatrice Harbin. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from Western Electric after 38 years and he was a 50 year plus Mason at the Piedmont Pioneer 0685 Lodge. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite as long as his health permitted. Glen was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 36 years, Doris Voss Harbin and two brothers, Sherrill Harbin and Harold Harbin. Surviving are his daughter, Stephanie Harbin Fields and son-in-law, Tim Fields of Clemmons; one cousin, Opal L. Hutchins of Winston-Salem and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church at 12 P.M., April 8, 2017, with Rev. Bret Cogan officiating. Entombment will follow at Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 3739 National Dr., Raleigh, NC 27612, Kate B.
