Mrs. Gladys Davis Robertson, 89, of Winston-Salem died Monday, June 11, 2012 at her home following a long courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease. She was born May 7, 1923 in East Bend, the daughter of the late, George Lee and Ethel Martin Davis. She was the youngest of ten children. Mrs. Robertson was a longtime member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church and was a graduate of East Bend High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Darr Robertson , three brothers and six sisters. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, and the love of her life, Carl J. Robertson of the home; one son, Carl J. ""Butch"" Robertson, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Trinity; one daughter, Dawn Robertson Fink and husband, Brian of Lewisville; two grandchildren, Carla Beth Metters and husband, Jason of Thomasville and Kaitlin Nicole Fink of Lewisville; one great grandson, Carter Ryan Metters; and many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and caregivers. The funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM at New Philadelphia Moravian Church with Rev. John G. Rights officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
