Gladys Imogene Ward Presswood

DATELINE: King Mrs. Gladys ""Imogene"" Ward Presswood, age 81 of King died Friday morning August 8, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Presswood was born in Forsyth County, April 18, 1927 to the late Elonzo Columbus and late Elizabeth Rachael Hill Ward. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, crochet, cooking and gardening. In addition to her parents Imogene was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Amos Presswood, one son Gary Presswood, two sisters and two brothers. Surviving are five daughters; Carolyn Faye (Earl) Reeves of Asheville, Annette (Jimmy) Stilley of Winston-Salem, Janette Arnold of Boonville, Debra (Vince) Marino of Advance, Kimberly (Les) Littlejohn of King. One son; Billy Ray Presswood of Winston-Salem. Nine grandchildren, Nine great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, August 10, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall by Brother Larry Easler and Pastor Darrell Fulp with burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening, August 9, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Memorial may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 3169 NC 8 Hwy South, Suite 204, Walnut Cove, NC 27052.
