Gladys Hege Livengood

Gladys Hege Livengood, 94, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 29, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC.
She was born in Forsyth County to the late Samuel Baxter Hege and Grace Brewer Hege. She grew up in the Lewisville community and was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Rev. Arthur R. Livengood and a sister, Nell McBride (Edward) of Lewisville, NC.
Surviving to share her memories are her three sons, Lee Livengood (Jane) of Oak Island, NC; Dwayne Livengood (Glenda); and Max Livengood (Lu) of Pinnacle, NC and her four grandchildren Aaron Livengood (Jess) of Wilmington, NC; Heather Livengood of Winston-Salem, NC; Joshua Livengood (Kristin) and Adam Livengood of Pinnacle, NC and her great grandson Maddox Livengood of Pinnacle, NC. She is also survived by her sister, Hilda Hauser (James) of Lewisville, NC, and several nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by her family and all those who knew her. She has passed from this life into eternal life with her heavenly father.
The family wishes to thank all the staff and doctors of the Palliative Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center and the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House.
Mrs. Livengood's family will receive friends on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem.
A service of remembrance and celebration with Rev. Dr. Bart Milleson officiating, will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in King, NC at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2015, which would have been her 95th birthday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Trinity United Methodist Church at 725 West Dalton Road, King, NC 27021 or to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
