Gladys "Carol" Davis

Gladys Carol Blakely Davis, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. She was born in Virginia on August 12, 1943, to the late Fonzo and Rader Tilley Blakely. Carol was a passionate and fun person to be around. She enjoyed activities such as bowling, playing putt-putt, soaking in the sun at the beach, and playing card games with her lady friends. She was great company to friends and family alike. Carol will be missed by those who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd and Robert (Bob) Blakely.

Carol is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Davis, many loved nieces and nephews, as well as special friends, Debbie Emmons, Brenda Royal, Jill McGuire, and Janet Weaver.

To remember Carol’s life, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Tim Blackburn officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00-1:45 PM.
