Gladys Belcher

Mrs. Gladys Elizabeth DeWeese Belcher, 68, of East Bend passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her residence. Gladys was born in Roanoke Virginia to the late Harvey Jacob DeWeese and Garnett St Clair DeWeese on November 20, 1953. Gladys enjoyed traveling, especially out west. She was always helping those in need, working and volunteering at the church and sewing quits for the sick. Gladys was a wonderful cook, baking pies and cakes, also homemade peanut butter milkshakes. She loved her family, and her fur babies, Maybelle and Lacy, she will be dearly missed. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Harvey DeWeese. She is survived by her loving husband, Marvin Belcher; daughters, Melissa Isaacs (Dale) and Gloria Boose (Montie); grandchildren, Jacob Hammond, Allie Ramey (Orion), Kaitlin Stevens, Joshua Stevens and Logan Boose; sisters, Juanita DeWeese and Marcia McGee. A funeral service will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 10:00 AM Saturday, June 4, 2022, with Pastor Josh Boles officiating. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service.
