Walkertown-Ginger Lea Plumley Welch, 63, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born May 28, 1947 in Maryland to Virginia Lea Plumley and the late Harold Plumley. Ginger had been employed with Parks Chevrolet in Kernersville. She raced motorcycles and loved to fish. Surviving in addition to her mother, Virginia Lea of Kernersville are her husband, Arthur Dean Welch of the home; one daughter, Katheren Lea Bowman and husband, Jack of Walkertown; two grandchildren, Tara Lea and Casey Bowman; a brother, Gary Plumley of Kernersville; and a nephew, Shannon Plumley. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00pm Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
