Gilmore Anton Walter

Mr. Gilmore Anton Walter, born January 13, 1923 to Clayton Walter, Sr and Mabel (Adams) Walter, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, Mary Virginia (Perkins) Walter and his brother, Clayton Walter Jr. Surviving are his wife, Arlene Offerdahl-Walter, Advance, daughter Carolynn (Lynn) and her husband, Grant Emrick, Winston-Salem, daughter Audrey (Dee-Dee) and her husband, Robert Seymour, Nottingham, New Hampshire, three grandchildren, Christopher Butts and his wife, Marriah, Newton, Massachusetts, Andrew Butts and his wife, Marjo, McKinleyville, California and Lesley Seymour, Los Angeles, and three great grandchildren, Celsiana William and Luna Madrone, McKinleyville, California, and Henry Gilmore Butts, Newton, Massachusetts. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 321 Redland Rd, Advance, NC 27006. Visitors will be received at the church immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested for Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Advance.
