Geraldine "Gerri" Brown

Ms. Geraldine “Gerri” Brown, 84, of Winston-Salem and Norwood, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021.

Gerri was born June 30, 1937, in Surry County to Crockett Sebastian Brannock and Viola Walker Brannock. She graduated from Kings College in Charlotte.  She retired from Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine. She enjoyed working part time at Sleep Inn, Edy’s Ice Cream, Belk, SECU Family House and Brookview Hills Internal Medicine.  In her free time, Gerri loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren and friends.  She also enjoyed sewing and visiting Oak Island.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Brannock King. Gerri is survived by her children, Bill Brown, David Brown (Teresa) and Janet McClure (George); grandchildren, John Crockett McClure (Lindsay), Kathryn Elizabeth McClure and Sarah Stone (Steven); great-grandchildren, Millie McClure, Emma Kate Stone and Thomas Stone; sister, Joyce Brannock Mills (Arnold); and numerous nieces.

A private family service will be held.
