Geraldine Scott Vanhoy

Mrs. Geraldine Scott Vanhoy, 87, passed away on Saturday December 30, 2023, at Magnolia Creek Assisted Living. She was born on October 18, 1936, to the late Alvia Theodore Scott and Hazel Todd Scott in Forsyth County, NC. Geraldine graduated from Clemmons High School with the class of 1955. She worked for Hanes Hosiery for 40 years before retiring. Geraldine was a lifelong member of Bethel Methodist Church. She loved spending time with and taking care of her daughter Lisa. Along with her parents Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Vanhoy; brother Jerry Scott; and sisters-in-law Mary Lou Parrish and Jeanette Martin. She is survived by her daughters Lisa I. Vanhoy and Robin Vanhoy (Tina); sister-in-law Jane Scott; brothers-in-law Sam Parrish, Terry (Joanne) Martin, Leonard Martin; and nephews and nieces Eric, Morgan (Dalton) and Justin (Crystal). The family would like to extend their thanks to the caregivers in the Magnolia Creek Memory Care Unit. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday January 2, 2024, at 3pm at Bethel Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Gates officiating.
