Geraldine Edwards

Mrs. Geraldine Jones Edwards, age 95 went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the Kate B. Reynolds's Hospice Home. She was born August 4, 1927 in Davie County to the late Clayton and Leona Mitchell Gregory. She retired from NC Baptist Hospital where she was a Supervisor in Housekeeping. And was the oldest living member of Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Melvin Jones; and her second husband, Walter "Pat" Edwards. Three Brothers, Tom, Kenny, and Ed Gregory. Two Sisters, Ella Mae Byerly and JoAnn Ireland. Surviving is her Daughter, Judy West, ( Billy) Son, Don Jones, ( Debbie) Grand Daughter, Gerri Hicks, (Scott) Great Grand children, Cassidy and Reese Hicks. Two Brothers, Melvin Gregory, (Wilma) Johnny Gregory, (Janie) and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm. Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Bible Baptist Church, 6350 Styers Ferry Road with Pastor Jonathan Ritchey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2023, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kate B Reynolds's Hospice Home or Bible Baptist Church.
