Gerald "Geri" Brown Lyons

Gerald ""Geri"" Brown Lyons, 77, went to be with her Lord on October 4, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. She was born June 24, 1938 in Forsyth County to the late Fred T. and Joyce P. Brown. Geri was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and was Senior Regent in 2005 and 2006. Geri retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She is survived by her two sons, Tommy Lyons (Tammy) and Tony Lyons (Dana); two sisters, Carell Kiger (Ralph) and Kim Cooper (Donnie); three brothers, Barry Brown, Sr. (Shirley), Jerry Brown (Janice), and Terry Brown. Kim and her family were special to Geri. Kim was like a daughter and her kids like grandchildren. They called her ""Gamma"". Her special niece was Dru Stebbins and her daughter Layla. Her special nephews, Alex and Cole (Danielle) Stebbins. She had several other nephews who also loved her dearly and friends too numerous to count. Geri will always be remembered for her sunny disposition and loving spirit. She was a great cook and loved sharing with others. Thanks to all who helped Geri through her illness. The family will have a private service between 12:00pm - 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, followed by a visitation from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm in the chapel with the Rev. Barry R. Brown, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Grapevine Baptist Church in Lewisville.
