Georgia Smith

Mrs. Georgia Annette Reynolds Smith, age 75 of Advance, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  She was born February 22, 1947 in Davie county to the late Lester Reynolds and Mittie Reynolds Day.  Mrs. Smith had retired from Davie County Schools working in the cafeteria and as a bus driver.  She is preceded in death by her two brothers: LG Reynolds and Lee Reynolds. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Steve W. Smith; one daughter, Dewetta Smith; one son, Steve W. Smith, Jr. (Christel); two grandchildren, Courtney Gunter (Austin) and Cody Smith; one great granddaughter, Finley Gunter; and one sister, Carolyn Everhart.  A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel by Dr. Suzanne G. Michael.  Burial will follow in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kate B.
