Mrs. Georgia Marie Widener Levens, 83 of Winston-Salem died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Silas Creek Manor. She was born June 6, 1928 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Luther McKinley and Sallie Blevins Widener. Mrs. Levens was retired from Hanes Knitwear following 46 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clarence Levens; three brothers, Bud, Bob and Bill Widener and four sisters, Elizabeth Rowell, Eula Kittrell, Blanche Bolejack and Helen Rader. Survivors include two sons, Jerry W. Widener, Sr. of Roanoke, VA and Larry Ray Brewer and wife, Mary of Kernersville; three grandchildren, Jerry W. Widener, Jr. and wife, Gayle, Jeffrey T. Widener and fiancée, Amie Young and Teresa L. Brewer; three great grandchildren, Erin N. Widener, Haley Harry, and Jackson Harry; and two sister, Betty Smith and Ann Widener of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
