Georgetta Tuttle Cromer

CROMER RURAL HALL, Mrs. Georgetta Tuttle Cromer departed Earth and entered Heavens Gates on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 9:47 pm. Mrs. Cromer was born in Winston-Salem on March 3, 1932 the daughter of the late John Earl and Alta Holt Tuttle. She was a beacon of light to her family, church and community. She served her Lord graciously and lovingly for 77 years. She will be missed, but Oh, the blessing of knowing that she is with her Lord and the rest of her family. Mrs. Cromer was an active member of Jefferson Church of Christ and was active in the Choir and was a member of the Young at Heart Sunday school Class. She owned and operated Georgia's Beauty Shop in Rural Hall for 47 years. She was preceded in Death by two sisters Joyce Ashby and Virginia Rhodes McGee, and three brothers Tom, Bill and Bobby Tuttle. Mrs. Cromer was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband of 62 years Franklin E. Cromer of the home, one daughter Linda (Clyde) Fulk of Rural Hall, three sons Ronald ""Bud"" (Sherry) Cromer of Jonesville, Steve (Debbie) Cromer of Germanton and Franklin ""Mitch"" (Darrell Cromer of Rural Hall, one sister Dorothy (Kenneth) Fulk of Rural Hall, three sisters-in-law Ruby Mae (Tom) Littlejohn and Ivy Tuttle all of Walkertown and Betty Tuttle of King, eleven grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren two special friends Barbara Westmoreland and Mary Ann Poe and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 6:30 pm Monday, April 20, 2009 at Jefferson Church of Christ with Jerry Simpkins and Steve Cook officiating. The Cromer family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:30 in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery.
