George William "Bill" Flynt, III

MANNING, SC – George William “Bill” Flynt III, 78, husband of Virginia “Ginny” Shankle Flynt, died Friday, June 28, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Born November 13, 1945, in Boise, ID, he was a son of the late Geoge William Flynt, Jr. and the late Sallie Gauldin Flynt. Bill was a retired veterinarian and a member of Pfafftown Christian Church in Pfafftown, NC, and he attended Manning United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years of Manning; a son, George Benjamin “Ben” Flynt (Amy) of Hillsborough, NC; a daughter, Katherine “Katie” Elizabeth Flynt of Greenville; two sisters, Susan Christenbury (Larry) and Mary Sallie Styers (Rick), both of Wilkesboro, NC; and six grandchildren, Emily Katherine Marshbanks, William Flynt Marshbanks, Hunter Carlson Marshbanks, London Therese Flynt, George Austin Flynt, and Grayson Edward Flynt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael David Flynt.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Pfafftown Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Timothy Shoaf officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pfafftown Christian Church, P.O. Box 130, Pfafftown, NC 27040.
