George Lee Veach

In loving memory of George Lee Veach, 88, we are saddened to announce his peaceful passing on July 31, 2024.

George was born on December 31, 1935, in Thomasville to Quentin Buck Veach and Helen Kennedy Veach. He is survived by his wife, Emma Lou Veach; a special brother-in-law, Johnny Johnson; two sons, Tod (Kim) and Tim (Michelle); three grandsons, Kyle, Kevin, and Kurt (Maniah); a great-granddaughter, Manami; and sisters, Becky (Eddie) Garrett, Sylvia (Mickey) Russ, and Sally Craven. 

George and Lou resided in Winston-Salem, where they started Wilshire Golf Club in 1967 and made many friends and memories.

A funeral service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Michael Gates officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. A private family service will take place at Parklawn Memorial Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Our many thanks go out to all of the staff at Trellis who helped our loved one during this time.

Loving memories and wonderful times with George will always be remembered in our hearts.
