George William Teague

Mr. George William Teague, 89, passed away September 7, 2015 at his home. He was born September 27, 1925 in Forsyth County to the late Byron Teague and Lula Hauser Teague. Mr. Teague was a faithful member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem and retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Miller Kite Teague and a grandson, Kenneth Lee Mandakis. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mr. Teague is survived by his children, Cheryl T. Clipperton (Kevin), Betty Lewis, Michael Kite (Linda), and Sandra Adams (Jerry); his grandchildren, Rev. Phillip Booe (Becky), Richard Lewis (Sandy), Teresa Stillman (Phil), Jon Kite (Melissa), Brian Kite (Teresa), and James Lee Hendrix; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; his brother and sister, Terry Teague and Molly Harris. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Bethel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons.
