George Isaac Styers

Mr. George Isaac Styers, 74, of Advance went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 22, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Styers was born on December 30, 1940 to Ike Styers and Irene Amburn. He retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co.. Mr. Styers was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who deeply loved his family and always knew how much his family cared for him with their unending love and support. Mr. Styers was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew James Eugene Styers; and a special friend Robert Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Styers; four children, Ricky Styers (Mary Ann), Tina Wilson (David), Cindy Rehmeyer (Daniel), and Brenda Styers; six grandchildren, Jessica Lancaster (Craig), Issac Morgan (Chelsie), Kristen Johnson, Cody Styers (Meredith), Dusty Wilson (Jennifer), and Krissy Hensley (Brian); four great grandchildren, Wyatt, Landon, Summer, and Kolton; a brother, Gene Styers (Jane); a sister, Millie Banner (C.C.); Momma Lib; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with the Rev. Brian Eades officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held 4:00 pm Wednesday at Bright Light Baptist Church in Statesville.
