WINSTON-SALEM - George Theodore Poulos, 58, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Hugh Chatham Hospital in Surry County. George was born on April 25, 1952 in Forsyth County to Theodore George and Helen Pappas Poulos. He graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School and Forsyth Community College. George was the vice president of C.B. Development, where he was employed for 24 years, in charge of construction. He was an avid hunter and loved boating. Surviving include his loving parents, Theodore and Helen Poulos of Winston-Salem; one son, the light of his life, Theodore ""Ted"" Poulos of Advance; a brother, John Poulos and wife, Beth, of Winston-Salem; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; especially Paul and Jimmy Chrysson; and his beloved pet, Watson. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Father Demetri Kangelaris, Father Thomas Guery and Father George Kiricoples officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 14, from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church with a Trisagion Service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 435 Keating Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
