Mr. George Chris Moutos, 55, went to sleep in the Lord, Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 22, 1966 in Winston-Salem, the son of Chris and Irene Mastoras Moutos. George was a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School and an active member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where he had served on the parish council. He was co-owner of the Town and Country Restaurant in King for 34 years. George was an avid runner and ran numerous marathons throughout the United States with his running buddies. He was a devoted husband and father who traveled to support his sons in G.O.Y. A. basketball, and Youth and High School baseball games. George was a savvy international businessman who enjoyed traveling to Europe, Africa, and Central America. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 23 years who was the love of his life, Stamey Ziavliakis Moutos; two loving sons, Chris Moutos and Spero Moutos of the home, who were his pride and joy; two brothers, Fred Moutos of Raleigh and Timothy Moutos of Winston-Salem; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Spiros and Eleni Ziavliakis and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2021 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. George Kouzelis and Rev. Fr. Constantine Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church with a Trisagion Service beginning at 12:50 PM. The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and medical workers at Forsyth Medical Center for their compassion and care these last three weeks. “George, you were the love of my life, my whole heart, you never told me “No”. I will always love you until we meet again”-Stamey. “You were the best Dad and always supported us. You were our hero.”- Chris and Spero.
