George Lynch, Sr.

Mr. George Thomas Lynch, Sr., 81, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Virginia on March 2, 1939 the son of the late William and Velvie Lynch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Lynch; and a granddaughter, Rose Marie Lynch. Mr. Lynch is survived by his loving wife, Judy Anderson Smith Lynch; whom he nicknamed “Barbie”; three sons, George Lynch, Jr. (Shelia), Steve Lynch (Phyliss) and Bobby Dawson (Christina) all of Virginia; a step-son, Jonathan Smith (Sarah) of King; a daughter, Frances Lynch of Lynchburg, VA; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Private services for Mr. Lynch will be conducted at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Greg Hall officiating. Burial will be in Closer Walk Baptist Church Cemetery.
