George Hughes Judd, Jr.

Mr. George Hughes Judd, Jr. age 68 of Advance, died Friday, June 27, 2014 at his home. He was born May 26, 1946 in Kingsport, TN. to George and Mary Lucille Hobbs Judd. Mr. Judd had 25 years of service will Luscent Technologies and had served in the US Army during the Vietnam War receiving the Bronze Star, Silver Star and Air Medal. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jack Judd. Surviving are two daughters, Karyn J. Reilly and husband Chris and Susan J. Burton both of Winston-Salem; one grandson, Gavin Burton; two brothers, Gary and Ralph Judd and one sister, Carol Sams. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
