George Allen Bryant Jr.

Mr. George Allen Bryant, Jr., 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born January 24, 1927 in Guilford County to George Allen Bryant, Sr. and Mary Hall Bryant. He retired from Western Electric after 35 years of service. Mr. Bryant loved computers. In his younger years he was very active in the Boy Scouts serving as a troop leader and teaching swimming and first aid. After serving two years in the US army he graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy Bryant and one sister, Virginia J. Short of Charlotte. He loved his faithful German Shepherd ""Peyton"". A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
