George Thomas Appleyard, III

Mr. George Thomas Appleyard, III 75, of Winston-Salem, died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at his home. Mr. Appleyard was born October 27, 1933 in Guilford County, a son of the late George Appleyard, Jr. and the late Edith Giles Appleyard. He was a US Army veteran and the owner and operator of Apple's Welding and Machine. He was very active in the Salem Community Orchestra, and served on the Board of the Little Symphony of Forsyth County. He attended member of Ardmore Baptist Church. Mr. Appleyard is survived by his wife of 12 years, Faye Appleyard; daughter, Jane Ann Appleyard, son George T, Appleyard, IV; brother, Robert Appleyard; and sister, Carol Schmucker. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Ty Talton and Rev. Christa Warise officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral Home.
