Geneva Holt Gentry

GENTRY Rural Hall - Mrs. Geneva Holt Gentry, 84, passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 at Oak Forrest. She was born September 16, 1924 in Surry County to the late Arthur David and Sallie Via Holt. Mrs. Gentry was an active member of Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church as long as her health permitted. She retired from Dewey's Bakery with over 25 years service. Mrs. Gentry was also an avid gardener. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Woodrow Gentry. Surviving are her two sons, J. Ron Gentry and wife, Denise ""Rusty"" of Davidson and David Gentry of the home; two special friends, Van Schoolfield and Freida Bullins. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 Sunday, February 15 at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Stacie Loizeaux officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. this evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church, 460 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045.
