Gene Bodenheimer

Gene Allison Bodenheimer, 74, passed away on February 27, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on June 23, 1947, to Virgil Flake Bodenheimer and Hazel Snyder Bodenheimer in Durham, NC. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Gene was a proud alumnus of East Carolina University. He had a very successful career in the logistics and supply chain industry. He was a member of Center Grove Church. Gene was a sports fan who loved the Yankees and Dolphins. He loved watching his two sons play sports and coached them in football, baseball, and basketball. Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Teresa Thomas Bodenheimer; sons Matt Bodenheimer (Sarah), and Andrew Bodenheimer; two grandchildren, Grayson and Maci Bodenheimer; sister-in-law Linda Mock (Craig); mother-in-law Alice Thomas; and niece Meredith Mock. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 4, 2022, at Center Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Corts officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B.
