Gaylord Bronson Jessee

Mr. Gaylord Bronson Jessee, 86, of Lewisville, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Mr. Jessee was born on August 21, 1926 in Derby, VA to William Kent Jessee and Minerva Frazier Jessee. He was a member of the United States Navy and fought in World War II. Following his service to his country, he was a truck driver for McLean Trucking and retired after 35 years of service. Following his retirement, Gaylord enjoyed working in his garden. Preceding Mr. Jessee in death are one son, Jimmy Kent Jessee, his parents, two brothers, Daries Jessee and Ernest Jessee and one sister, Berniece Wilson. Mr. Jessee is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sarah Collier Jessee of the home; four daughters, Gaylan Bolz of Winston-Salem, Daphne Brown (Steve) of Clemmons, NC, Mollie Draughon (Ted) and Melanie Harris, both of Lewisville, NC; seven grandchildren, April Jessee, Angie Fulp (Randy), Cory Brown (Terry Ann), Brad Draughon, Sarah Sanders (Chase), Amber Draughon and Desmond Harris; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Suzanne Marcum (J.B.); one brother, Carl Jessee (Shirley) of Pulaski, VA and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Jessee will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Mr. David Sowers officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the West Team of Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County for the care they provided to Mr. Jessee during his illness.
