Gay Eileen Myers

Mrs. Gay Eileen Warren Myers, 84, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center.  She was born October 27, 1936, in Abingdon, VA., the daughter of Ernest and Susie Jordan Warren.  Eileen was a charter member of Berean Baptist Church, where she was involved with the Bus Ministry, Sunday School and was in the Choir.  She had also sung with many trios in the area.  She had worked at Winn Dixie, Food Lion and Dewey’s Bakery.  A true servant of God, she loved everyone.   Eileen had the best laugh, the kindest heart, and was the most wonderful woman to all that knew and loved her.  She was a true wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.  Eileen is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Gloria Rene Little; a grandson, Nathan Canter; a stepson, Tim Myers, Jr.; and four brothers.  Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Tim Myers, Sr.;  two daughters, Kathy Beeson (Dwayne) of King, and Phyllis Canter (Terry) of Midway; four grandchildren , Brandon Canter (Savannah) of Midway, Jason Canter (Amy) of Winston-Salem, Michael Case (Liz) of Mooresville and Phillip Case (Austyn) of Cary; eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Kestner, Patricia Banner, Wanda Porter and Donna Quetsch; three brothers, Fred Warren, Rodney Warren and Jim Warren,  and many nieces, nephews and friends.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Berean Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Baity officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.   A graveside service will immediately follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 2730 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.  Memorials in Eileen’s honor may be made to Berean Baptist Church, 4135 Thomasville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
