Gaye Elizabeth Wall Mabe

Mrs. Gaye Elizabeth Wall Mabe, 73, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born December 11, 1939 in Forsyth County to Casper Giles Wall and Mabel Sappenfield. Mrs. Mabe was employed by Sears for 30 years; she was also a member of Siloam United Methodist Church and resided in Pilot Mountain for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary L. Mabe, vey special companion, Homer Troy Wood, two sisters, Betty ""Boots"" Draughn and Dorothy ""Dot"" Beatty. She is survived by one daughter, Connie Bradley and husband Ralph of Lexington; two grandchildren, Kelli Brown of Belews Creek, Michael Trueblood of Kernersville; one sister, Marie Kimel and husband Buddy of Winston-Salem; one brother, Robert Wall of Lewisville; special friends, Sue and Rhonda; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Pilot Mountain City Cemetery with the Rev. Joseph Fulk officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
