Gary Lee Wright

Mr. Gary Lee Wright, 76, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2017; coinciding with his 29th wedding anniversary. Gary was born on October 10, 1940, in Forsyth County to the Aubrey Lee and Ruth Johnston Wright. He retired from R.J. Reynolds after many years of faithful service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved step-son, Joe Hawkins, Jr. He was a loving and Christian husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Surviving are his loving wife, Marylyn Wright; two step-children, Tonya Lanier (husband Bobby) and Jonathan Hawkins (wife Christine); three grandchildren, Jennifer McCabe (husband Adam), Makayla Holmes, and Nathan Hawkins; and two great-grandchildren, Hayden McCabe and Kara McCabe. Also left to cherish his memory are one sister, Barbara Wright Peeples; one nieces, Jill Rauso (husband Tom); and great nephew, Christian Glazewski. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, 5041 Styers Ferry Road, Lewisville, NC 27023.
