Mr. Gary Cromer Snyder, 81, passed away, Friday, January 10, 2025, at his home, with his family by his side. He was born July 29, 1943, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Conrad Gilreath Snyder and Pauline Elizabeth Cromer Snyder. Gary retired from RJ Reynolds after 35 years of service. In addition, he was a landscaper with his son for 30 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Conrad Snyder. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Martha Chappell Snyder; his son, Gary Snyder, Jr.; two grandchildren, Chase Snyder (Erynne) and Hannah Snyder; a great-grandchild, Presley Mae Snyder; a special daughter-in-law, Raelyn Snyder; a brother, Ted Snyder (Mary); a brother-in-law, Thomas Chappell; and a niece, Vickie Easter (Kim). The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Tuesday evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum in Winston-Salem. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to: Thomasville Hospice.
