Gary Scott

Mr. Gary Gray Scott, 75, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021.  He was born October 10, 1946, in Forsyth County to the late Fred and Lillian Scott.  Gary loved woodworking and lending a helping hand to his neighbors whenever he could.  He worked for R.J. Reynolds and retired with 20 plus years of service.  After his tenure at R.J. Reynolds, he worked for Best Buy for 14 years.  In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Kay Scott.  He is survived by his wife, Anna Lamm Scott; son, Bobby Scott (Emily); two grandsons, Wyatt and Dalton; sister, Gail Wright (Roy); two stepsons, Ronald Lamm, Jr. (Deborah) and Chuck Lamm (Chesney); six grandchildren: Corey, Caroline, Chloe, Chelsey, Dylan, and Haylee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday, October 23rd at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Griffith Fire Department, 5190 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
