Mr. Gary ""Joe"" Plowman, age 56 of Rural Hall died Saturday morning at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Joe was born in Yadkin County, March 7, 1954 to the late Alonzo L.Plowman, Jr. and the late Lena Mae Marler Plowman. He worked 40 years as an auto body repairman. Joe was a very loving husband, father and grand-pa and will be greatly missed by all his friends. He enjoyed racing and hunting and was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents Joe was preceded in death by one son; Joey Plowman. Surviving are his wife of 28 years; Judy Plowman. Two sons; Derrick (Natalie) Lord of East Bend, and Zack Plowman of Rural Hall. Two grandchildren; Justin Lord and Kaylee Plowman. Four sisters; Cheryl (Larry) Garris, Tina (Eric) Johnson, Tammy (Mike) Barker, and Evalee (Kevin) Goins. One brother; Grant (Lisa) Plowman. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall Wednesday evening, September 1, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
