Gary Faw

Mr. Gary Phillip Faw, 59, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at his home.  He was born September 12, 1961, in Forsyth County to Jethro Hansford Faw and Phyllis Benton Faw. Gary attended Appalachian State University and UNC-Charlotte. In addition, he graduated from Winston-Salem Barber School and became a very successful hair stylist. He owned and operated Gary Faw Salon. Gary was a friendly, genuine, loving person, and never met a stranger. Gary is preceded in death by his father, Jethro Hansford Faw. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Benton Faw; brother, Jeffery Hansford Faw (Jeanne); one niece, Larsen Faw Cline (Jake); and two nephews, Jared Hansford Faw (Drew) and Spencer Harrison Faw. A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, July 31, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with Pastor Eddie Honeycutt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, 851 Ziglar Road, Winston-Salem, NC, 27105.
