Gary William Burrow

Mr. Gary William Burrow, 70, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born in June of 1954 in Stokes County to the late Matthew McKinley Burrow and Ruby Moore Burrow. Gary served in the King Fire Department for 15 years reaching the rank of Captain. After working at Westinghouse for 15 years, he would go on to retire from Hanesbrands with 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded by three brothers; Robert Burrow, James Ray Burrow, and Frankie Burrow, as well as one sister, Martha Ann Campbell. He is survived by his son, Chad Burrow (Aleesha), grandchildren; Luke and Samantha, two sisters; Dorothy Voss and Lucille Stringfield (Ronnie), a special friend, Pam Boles, and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00PM Friday February 14, 2025 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Dr. Ron Voss, Minister, Ralph Sproles, Minister, and Peter Cain, Minister officiating. A private family entombment will take place at a later time. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gary’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Shriners Children’s Hospital, or King Christian Church.
