Gary Almand

Winston-Salem-Mr. Gary Joseph Almand, 64, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born April 9, 1953 in Atlanta, GA., the son of Joseph Daniel and Beverly Browder Almand. A Master Carpenter and Craftsman, Gary lived a simple life. He was intelligent, loved animals and had a great sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Almand. Survivors include his father, Dan Almand (Gloria) of White Bluff, TN.; two sisters, Lynn Zane (Gary) of Macon, GA. and Leigh Cox (Michael) of Houston, TX.; a brother, Chris Almand (Beth Barksdale) of Southerlyn, VA. three nieces, Christina Luczynski (Kirk) of Atlanta, GA., Amber Holmes (Lee) of Fuquay-Varina and Taylor Cox of Marietta, GA.; two nephews, Jonathan Zane (Asta) of Birmingham, AL. and Christopher Almand of Winston-Salem and an aunt, Betty Mallernee of Dawsonville, GA. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2018 with a eulogy at 5:30 PM by Rev. Paul Mullen.
