Garnet Brandt Durham

Garnet Brandt Durham, 88, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday December 15, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice home. She was born May 11, 1924 in Queens, New York to Russell and Sophie Hartz Brandt. She served in the Navy Waves during World War II. She was preceded in death by a son Sandy Durham. She is survived by her son Michael Haroldsson (Delores) of Massapequa, NY; daughter Kathy May of Caldwell, ID; daughter Donna Gerlach (Hugh) of Martinsville, VA; daughter's Nancy O'Connor; Frances Durham; and Kerri Rybak ( Andy) all of Winston-Salem; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and one sister Shirley Brower of Woodmere, NY. A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday December 18, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Jeff Coppley and Dr. Randolph Waugh officiating. Inurnment will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery Columbarium. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday December 17, 2012 .
