WINSTON-SALEM-Mrs. Galove Poteat Davidson Robertson, 77, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Robertson was born on April 9, 1935 in Forsyth County to Telles Ferguson Poteat and Pansy McGlamery Poteat. She retired from Terminix where she worked as a secretary. Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her first husband, Forrest Ray Davidson, Sr. and her parents. Mrs. Robertson is survived by her second husband, Melvin Glenn Robertson of Winston-Salem; one daughter, Teresa Ball (Gerald) of Mars Hill, NC; a son, Forrest Ray Davidson, Jr. (Carol) of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Shannon Davidson, Christopher Davidson (Dargan), Emily Ball, and Amanda Ball Odmark (Mike); two great-grandchildren, Christian Hall and Collins Davidson; one sister, Martha June Hutchens (James) of Winston-Salem; and one brother, Joby Poteat (Joan) of Clemmons, NC. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Jeff Baity officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will meet at the home of Mrs. Robertson's brother, Joby Poteat in Clemmons, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Salem Kidney Center, 2705 Boulder Park Ct., Winston-Salem, NC 27101 or the Kate B.
