Galen Darrell Tidd

Mr. Galen Darrell Tidd passed away January 31, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Galen was born October 9, 1959 to Darrell Tidd and Geraldine Malone Tidd in Maine. For over 15 years he served in the Recreation Department at Calvary Baptist Church. He demonstrated a servant's heart as he ministered to communities both local and overseas. Survivors include his loving wife of 14 years, Jenny Jo Tidd; sons, Nathaniel Galen Tidd, and Elijah Daniel Tidd; parents, Darrell and Geraldine Tidd of Hodgdon, ME; as well as 2 brothers and 3 sisters. A celebration of Galen's life will be held 2:30 PM Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Chapman and Rev. Steve Hardy officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Benevolence at Calvary Baptist Church, 5000 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
