Gail Moffitt

Mrs. Gail C. Moffitt, 73, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022. She was born in Forsyth County on May 23, 1949 to Herbert and Margaret Chrismon. Gail was an office and nurse manager in the OBGYN department at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and retired after many years of service. She enjoyed quilting, painting, sewing, crafts, cooking, and baking. Gail loved having her coffee every morning, and she enjoyed spoiling her puppies, Gracie and Molly. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Gail was a loving wife, mother, and “Ma”. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Moffitt, Sr. She is survived by her sons, James “Jim” Franklin Moffitt, Jr. and Scott (Leslie) Moffitt; grandchildren, Hailee Moffitt (Camerron) and Dylan Moffitt (Alexis); brother, Al (Melissa) Chrismon; sister, Chris Drake (Kevin); father, Herbert; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Oaklawn Baptist Church with Pastor Jay Boyce officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Linda Smith for the special care and help she willingly gave to Gail over the years.
