Frederick Wormley

KERNERSVILLE - Frederick Eugene Wormley, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at his home. Fred was born on November 15, 1941 in New York to the late Frederick K. and Myrtle Washborn Wormley. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving in the 7th Cavalry and was a member of Kernersville Moravian Church. Fred was the Counter Supervisor at Delta Airlines for 35 years. He was an artistic man who loved working with his hands building furniture. His love for woodworking later inspired "F. Wormley Creations" He also crafted jewelry and other unique gifts that he made with bullets and loved setting up booths at various gun shows. People came from all over to buy his creations. Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Cletra Choate Wormley; two daughters, Lisa Hoodiman (Steve) and Jennifer Yates (Terry); and three grandchildren, Aidan, Mackenzie and Shayne. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Historic Chapel at Kernersville Moravian Church with Rev. John Rights officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
